Whew...its over

Yay!   No longer  the "Future Mrs. Snyder," now I AM Mrs. Snyder!!!!  It's still taking some getting used to.  Yesterday we went to the movies and the lady at the snack bar asked if I wanted helfp.  I told her I had to wait for my husband!!!  WOW!!!

Everyone on our wedding day was so amazing.  We were both overwhelmed with the love shown to us by everyone there.

Mom, you did so much, thank you for helping my day to be so beautiful!!!  I couldn't have done it without you.

Mandi, you were such a blessing to me.  I would have never survived without you!!! You did so much, and I can't thank you enough.

Melva,  you are wonderful...thank you for coming last minute just because I needed your calming presence.  You are the best!!

Pam, Mom!!!  You were such a support.  Thank you for making me feel so loved and accepted into your family.

Alethea and Danielle, I have real  related sisters now!!  You were both so wonderful to be part of this day for us. Ian and  are blessed to have sisters like you!

Terry, So glad to meet you, you have been so generous! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

Mike, your wedding gift made me cry!!! I'm so glad I finally go to meet you, and I hope to see you a lot more in the future!  Ian and I appreciate  everything you did for us (especially climbing on the roof!!!!).

There are so many more to thank,  Aunt Vickie for decorations, Cal for the great food, Ron and Toni for the rehearsal dinner, Aunt Val, Nikki, Carson, Hollie, Carlos, Aaron, Brian, whoever stayed to help clean up, So many people!!!  We love you all!!!  If I forgot anyone...I'm sorry and please forgive me, The day went so fast,  I can barely remember what all went on!!!

and camp comes again!!!!

Woohoo! it's almost time for camp again!   Yippee!!!  I know it's a lot of work, and I know we go home exhausted, but I can't help but feel a surge of excitement when I think about all the fun we're going to have.  Ohhhh....chlorine in my system (and turning my hair green), fingerprint bruises on my arms because 15 little boys and girls are trying to dunk me (when my feet are firmly planted on the bottom of the pool!), eating every 2 hours (good food though...but oh do we have to eat so OFTEN?), and sleeping on a mattress that really isn't any better than sleeping on the floor.  Yes, the joys of camp!

But seriously, the real joy is when you find a child who doesn't have a very good home life, they don't have much hope for the future, and you get to teach them that they ARE loved, and there IS hope.  That's the real point of camp.  The fun, silly stuff is just bonus, I'm excited for the chance to share God's love with some children who really need to feel loved.

Whether I'm the "favorite" or not, whether they ask me to baptize them or not....I can go home knowing that I did what I was meant to do.  This is one week to put me aside, to forget about wedding plans, and just enjoy having a family of kids who need a mom (even if she's wayyyyy too young to be their mom ;-) ok I'm not anymore....*sigh*) and look to me for that.

What a crazy spring!

Nope, not talking about the wedding (although it is only around 50 days away) nor my adorable dog (who is the cutest thing ever)....just musing over how quickly this spring went by.  I'm thankful for the summer, for the new summer job I have at the church doing typing/computer work, for the ability to forget about the kids at school for 3 months, and yes for the wedding that is pending.

It's crazy to think that I am 25 years old already...I feel like I just turned 17 the other day!  Where did time go?

I'm working on purging a lot of the junk that I've collected over the years.   A yard sale is coming up soon!  Then other people can try to make some good use of the things I see as useless.  I can't believe how many pairs of shoes I have!

Dogs don't smoke

Somehow Libby got ahold of a pack of cigarettes.  We think the neighbors dropped them somehow on their way out the driveway. Well she chewed them all to pieces, probably ate several of them, and last night and this morning she was a siiiiiiiccccckkkkk puppy...  Dad said this morning she could barely walk she was feeling so bad!  That will teach her to smoke!

It made me think of the stories of kids smoking so the dad would make them smoke a whole pack...I don't think that will be necessary for Libby, hopefully she won't touch another one again! Poooor puppy!

My Space...MSN Spaces...Websites

There are entirely too many ways to "blog" today.  I have an MSN Space (obviously), a MySpace account, and more than one website!  Funny thing is, who knows how many people actually READ any of these, but here I am writing down amusing little stories and tidbits from my life, hoping that someone cares.

Someone does care of course, lots of people do, whether they read my blog or not!  And even if no one cared, I'm still pretty lucky to have God listening to my prayers and taking interest.

My grandmother passed away April 3, 2006.  She had been battling Alzheimers for many years, and it's really a blessing that she's now in Heaven with grandpa, but she will be missed.  We've decided that we don't want any more Aprils though.  Grandpa Gosser died in April, 2002, Grandpa Dodge in April 2003,  and Grandma Gosser in April, 2006.  I'm glad I have time living with Grandma Dodge, it's been great spending time with her that I didn't get when I was a child like I did with my other grandparents.
